Clonmel Óg GAA – County Match Ticket Allocation Policy
1. Purpose
This policy governs the distribution of inter‑county match tickets allocated to Clonmel Óg GAA by the County Board, ensuring that allocations are managed in a fair, transparent and consistent manner, while recognising active contribution to the club.
2. Scope
This policy applies to:
· Munster Championship matches
· All‑Ireland Series matches (including quarter‑finals, semi‑finals and finals)
· All tickets allocated to the club via the County Board
3. Responsibility
The Club Executive Committee has overall responsibility for this policy.
Day‑to‑day administration shall be carried out by the Club Secretary (or a designated officer), with oversight from the Executive.
4. Eligibility
To be eligible for county allocation tickets, applicants must:
· Be fully paid‑up members for the current year
· Have membership paid by the club’s official deadline
· Be in good standing with the club
5. Priority Categories
Where demand exceeds supply, priority may be applied in the following order:
1. Club officers
2. Juvenile and adult coaches / mentors
3. Adult/student playing members
Long‑term and active volunteers
5. Ordinary adult members
The Executive Committee reserves the right to adjust priorities where exceptional circumstances apply.
6. Munster Championship Allocations
For Munster Championship matches:
· A broader allocation may be made available to eligible members
· A maximum number of tickets per applicant may be applied
· Where oversubscribed, allocation may be decided by:
o Pro‑rata distribution
o Ballot / draw
Consideration of previous allocations received
7. All‑Ireland Series Allocations
For All‑Ireland Series matches:
· Allocation will be more restrictive due to limited supply
· Priority will normally be given to:
o Players, mentors and officers
o Members who have not received previous All‑Ireland allocations in the same season
· For All‑Ireland Finals, the Executive may:
o Limit applications to one ticket per member
o Require applicants to confirm personal use of tickets
The decision of the Executive Committee in relation to All‑Ireland allocations shall be final.
8. Application Process
Applications must be submitted by the advertised closing date
· Applications must be made using the method specified by the club
· Late or incomplete applications will not be considered
9. Payment
· Tickets must be paid for in advance
· Payment deadlines will be strictly enforced
· Unpaid tickets will be reallocated
10. Resale and Transfer
· Tickets are issued at face value only
· Tickets must not be resold for profit
· Tickets must not be transferred outside the club without approval
Any breach may result in loss of access to future allocations
11. Sanctions
Breaches of this policy may result in:
· Suspension from future ticket allocations
· Disciplinary action under club rules
· Referral to the County Board where appropriate
12. Review
This policy will be reviewed annually or as required following changes to County Board or GAA procedures.
